Willow Art Collective Constitution
Preamble
The art club of Willow International carries the purpose of promoting all forms of art to the campus and community. This club will be focused on the structure and business of art as well as the freedom of expression and fun that all arts are. We will encourage our peers to be happier and healthier with help from art.
Article I Moniker
Section 1 This art clubs formal name shall be known as the Willow Art Collective or W.A.C. for short.
Article II. Membership
Section 1 Members of W.A.C. are not required to be in or have ever been in any art related courses at Willow International. No artistic talent is required either, however a passion for art of any media must be present.
Section 2 Student officers must have or plan to have a current Student Body Identification Card.
Section 3 Member must attend as many club events a possible. After all they will be fun.
Section 4 Student email addresses will be asked for from each member so contact may be kept. These email addresses will not be sold or given out to anyone outside the club. If a member has been found guilty of this he or she may be subject to immediate club banishment.
Article III Officers and Meetings
Section 1 Student officers will be elected every two semesters unless an officer fails to commit his or her duties. This officer will be confronted by the club president then removed from all related duties and a new officer will be nominated and elected.
Section 2 Student Officer positions include: President, Vice President, Treasurer, ASB Representative, Secretary,
Section 3 The Student President may be impeached at any time during a semester if another officer presents a petition for impeachment signed by at least 2/3 majority of the entire club.
Section 4 Meetings for W.A.C. will be held once a week if necessary. All meetings are subject to change at any time and will be set at each meeting by the club President. There must be at least one meeting per month.
Section 5 The club President must attend every club meeting. For the meeting cannot proceed without him or her.
Article IV Election Process
Section 1 This will be a relaxed part of W.A.C.
Section 2 The process of election is decided by the current president; however no student can be in the same position for two terms unless a majority vote from the members agrees.
Section 3 Nominations can be taken if there is more than one person after a single position. A student may nominate his or herself for any position during the election process.
Article V WAC Events
Section 1 Any club member can submit ideas at the beginning or ending of any and every meeting.
Section 2 Ideas for events will be voted on by the members present and will be scheduled if accepted by a 2/3 majority. If a set event does not sit well with any member; he or she can call to vote whether to hold it or not. By doing this the present members will vote on said event at the end of the meeting.
Section 3 If an event is either too soon to plan or there is not enough funding, determined by the treasurer, the President may veto that event at the time of its proposal or at the beginning of any meeting.
Article VI Amendments
Section 1 This constitution may be amended by any WAC member with a 2/3 majority acceptance of that amendment.
